Zoum Rooms

The Division of IT Classroom Audio Visual Equipment Support team (CAVES) has updated many of our classrooms to Zoum Rooms (yes, ‘zoum’ rooms!). These rooms function like a Zoom meeting but allow you to control the room AV equipment from one familiar interface. 

Zoum Rooms are a key component of our conferencing and classroom technology.  Zoum Rooms are best thought of as the virtual connection to all room conferencing infrastructure. The key idea is to join the Zoom Room to your scheduled Zoom meeting.  For full functionality, set the Zoom Room to be host or co-host of your meeting to manage all Zoom functionality from the room touch panel.  You can wirelessly share content to the Zoom Room anytime from your laptop via the Share Screen option on your local Zoom client you do not need to be in a meeting for this to work.
